Greek Rice Dressing
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups rice (regular slow-cooking)
3 tablespoons salted butter or margarine
3/4 cup finely minced onion
1 1/2 cups chopped celery
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon sage
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 lb. sausage
1 1/2 cups chestnuts sliced (available at Williams & Sonoma)
3 cups chicken or turkey broth
Directions:
Brown sausage, drain and set aside.
Saute onion and celery in butter or margarine.
Bring broth to a boil; add rice, seasonings, onion and celery.
